ELAFONISOS

Elafonisos is beautiful throughout the seasons, however, if you want to enjoy it to its fullest, the best time to visit is from May till the first week of July and then from September on till the end of October, hence avoiding the peak season for the most part. During August it’s as busy as it gets, being a popular day-trip from Monemvasia and other places from the surrounding region.

The island attracts visitors looking to enjoy the unique Mediterranean landscape with the exquisite crystal water beaches perfect for swimming and snorkeling, the laid back lifestyle, the delicious Greek cuisine and fresh seafood.

Having a car is the best option if you want to be independent and explore the island. Alternatively, there are a few taxis and you can rent bikes in the harbor.

All of the restaurants, cafeterias and shops are in the village. The main coastal road turns to a beautiful pedestrian promenade where tourists and locals enjoy sunsets durning their evenings.
